They may not live here year round, but Lauren and David spend plenty of family vacations on beautiful Marco Island. The island offers many picturesque areas so we were excited when they choose to have us photograph their engagement session here too! The evening sky was lit up with soft shades of pastel blue and orange. It was a perfect evening for beach photography. Lauren and David truly radiated joy in every photo we captured. Lauren is a jewelry designer so it’s no surprise she custom designed her ring all the way down to the diamond encrusted “M” for her soon to be last name. How unique is that! Congratulations to the beautiful couple, we also look forward to capturing their special day next month as they share vows beach side. The Aaron family wanted family portraits in a setting that stuck to their Southern roots. We knew the perfect place! The Sanibel historical museum and village is a museum and garden of seven historic buildings from the island, all moved here in one place and restored back to their original state. Buildings like the old school house, general store, post office and packing house some dating back to the early 1900s. The rustic look of the buildings and even old wagon wheels make the Sanibel historical museum and village an easy venue to shoot for these rural type portraits. Just the garden and foliage that surrounds the buildings alone makes great backdrops for anyone looking to add a little greenery into their photographs. Check out just a few of the shots we got with the gorgeous ladies, and Dad, around the museum. This location would even be ideal for senior portraits. We had a great time photographing Kate and Chris for their Captiva Island wedding at the beautiful South Seas Island Resort. Everything about their wedding was perfection from the burlap and lace details to the last petal on their wedding cake.
South Seas Island Resort tops the list for romantic Captiva island wedding venues. The couple shared vows outside on the resorts lush Kings Crown Lawn where we were able to get beautiful natural light shots during the ceremony. There are many fascinating areas around the grounds of South Seas Island Resort that are ideal for professional wedding photography. The Kings Crown Lawn is just one of the many ceremony sites the resort has to offer. The Kings Crown Lawn is enveloped in royal palm trees, perfect to add dimension to wedding photographs.
Just steps away a white washed pier is also an ideal photogenic backdrop where we took Kate and Chris for some cherished couple photos. Reception followed outside under the string of twinkling lights.
Those cool shots with the trolley are always a fun mix to throw into your album too! The trolley took them to the resorts private, Sunset Beach, where we photographed those amazing shots with that beautiful Captiva sunset!
We love photographing sunset wedding photography which is perfect for adding that pop of color and those gorgeous silhouette portraits to your wedding album! Kate and Chris ended their night with family and friends by releasing paper lanterns from the T-dock just off the Kings Crown lawn! Check out their amazing evening. We wish Kate and Chris the best for many years to come!

Kim and Dorian had a beautiful Florida beach destination wedding at South Seas Island Resort on Captiva Island, Florida. Having family all over the United States, it was important to find the perfect private beach wedding location. They chose South Seas Island Resort, a beautiful tropical venue for their outdoor wedding knowing how much their guests would enjoy the views Captiva Island has to offer.
Kim and Dorian went on their first date in 2011 and sparks have flown ever since! They were engaged in Daytona Beach, where they currently live, and have shared many wonderful experiences together. They could not wait for this special day to celebrate their love for each other and commit to a lifelong friendship, family, and companionship.
With an amazing private beach wedding location and awesome vendors, their wedding was truly unique to Kim and Dorian. They had a special family member officiate the ceremony, and the gorgeous beach wedding décor was designed by Venice Events and Miami Rentals. Yum Yum Cakes delivered a delicious square wedding cake and cupcakes for the guests.
We had a blast capturing their special day. Some of our favorite details were Kim’s dress, (which she helped design!), the first look, their decor, sunset, and reception. It was decided early on that they would do a first look. This is where the bride and groom decided to see each other before the ceremony. Dorian’s face is priceless and it made for great candid photography. Their chairs, wedding arch, and tables were out of this world and very unique touches to a beach destination wedding. The sunset was beautiful, and we captured amazing shots after the ceremony of Kim and Dorian, and their wedding party. At the reception, Kim and Dorian decided to surprise their guests during their first dance, and ended up singing a duet to each other! The father daughter dance was special and unique as well, you can tell Kim is a daddy’s girl through and through
